Stone Crab
The Stone Crab is the most unique and indigenous food to emerge from Key West. It is the most prolific catch in the Keys accounting for over half of the three million pounds caught annually!
Unlike the Spiny Lobster, which can be caught in various forms worldwide, the Stone Crab is a unique Florida delicacy. The warmer climates of the Keys provide a perfect environment for the Stone Crab enabling our fishermen to provide our customers with the freshest catch.
Stone Crabs are also one of the most sustainably harvested ocean dwellers. The Stone Crabs claws are removed by the fishermen with minimal trauma, enabling the Crab to be returned to ocean and regrow it’s missing claw in time for the next season!
